The Winnipeg Murugan Temple is dedicated to Lord Murugan who is also known as Subrahmanya and is the son of Goddess Parvati and God Shiva.
The Winnipeg Murugen Temple is operated by the Tamil Hindu Community of Winnipeg. The management of the temple raises its own funds to support the operations of the temple.
The temples keeps conducting various Poojas and Events like Vaikasi Visakam, Thaipoosam, Karthikai Pooja, Skanthasasthi and Thirukalyanam etc.
It also holds weekly prayers coordinated by Tamil Cultural Society of Manitoba from 7:30 pm usually on Fridays.
